Safe-sleep reminder. Always place baby on their back on a firm, flat sleep surface. Keep loose bedding and soft objects out of the crib. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends room-sharing without bed-sharing: keep your baby’s crib or bassinet in your room for at least the first 6 months. Stop swaddling at the first signs of attempting to roll. Never leave your baby alone on a changing table or any raised surface, not even for a second; keep one hand on your baby during diaper changes. A baby monitor or camera can help you keep an eye on your little one from another room, but it never replaces your attention.
